Classes will be taught by qualified Cecchetti Ballet Teachers who run a private Ballet, Modern Dance and Lifestyle studio in Cinderella.

The Ballet programme (4, 5 and 6-year-old children) is specifically designed for Pre-school girls (and boys) to introduce and stimulate a love of music and dance expression, whilst developing the extremely important aspects of fine and gross motor development.

The classes encompass musical rhythm, movement, and flexibility training, consisting of basic dance and ballet movements and actions, using and developing all the muscles of the body, whilst inspiring the learner to be creative in interpreting different musical sounds, thereby increasing their confidence in group situations.  Emphasis is on co-ordination, balance and confidence, which benefit each child as they grow.  Interpretation and miming increase the self-confidence while improving the learner’s ability to hear the beats of the music and to fit body movement to musical accents.

Love of dance, increased co-ordination, strength, and development of a musical awareness, are taught in a fun and exiting way.

By the end of the programme, the pupils are able to be fully integrated into a private ballet environment, having learnt all the basics aspects of an internationally recognised (Cecchetti) ballet syllabus.

Classes run from February to November during Government school terms.

• Ballet Uniforms will be supplied by Dance Core at the beginning of the year, once each pupil has been sized and registered with the R 580.00 enrolment fee
• For existing pupils; a re-enrolment fee of R60 is applicable

TUITION FEES:

The annual fee may be paid in one of three ways:

1. A once-off payment of R 2 160 for the year (Payable at the beginning of February – which enjoys a 10 % discount).

2. R 570 per term (Payable at the beginning of each term – 4 terms, which enjoys just over 5 % discount.)

3.  R 240.00 per month (10 months)
